Welcome to FredSave. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website fredsave.com, mobile experiences, fantasy hockey tools, newsletters, premium subscriptions, and all related content and services (collectively, the "Services") operated by FredSave Inc. ("FredSave," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Services. By using FredSave, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all registration information you submit is accurate and current. The Services are intended primarily for users in Canada; if you access FredSave from outside Canada, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. FredSave fantasy hockey is a game of skill for entertainment purposes and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Hockey League, NHL Players' Association, or any NHL member club.

Account Registration and Security

Certain features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your password, and notify us promptly of unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or remain inactive for extended periods after notice. One person may not maintain multiple accounts to gain unfair advantage in leagues or promotions unless explicitly permitted by league rules.

Description of Services

FredSave provides fantasy hockey content including team and arena guides, news and analysis, roster-building tools, game simulation experiences, league management features, and optional premium subscriptions. Statistics, injury reports, and news are provided for informational purposes and may contain errors or delays. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of NHL-related data sourced from third parties. Virtual tours and game simulations are entertainment products and do not constitute gambling or real-money wagering on NHL outcomes.

User Conduct

You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose; harass, threaten, or abuse other users or FredSave staff; post or transmit spam, malware, or harmful code; scrape, crawl, or automate access in a manner that burdens our infrastructure or violates robots.txt; circumvent security measures or access non-public areas; impersonate any person or entity; use the Services to operate unauthorized gambling or betting schemes; reverse engineer proprietary software except where permitted by law; or collect personal information of other users without consent. League commissioners and participants must treat each other respectfully; FredSave may remove content or users that violate community standards.

Intellectual Property

The Services, including text, graphics, logos, software, design, and compilation, are owned by FredSave or licensed to us and protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. NHL team names, logos, and related marks are property of their respective owners; FredSave uses them nominatively for identification and commentary. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except for temporary caching or printing for personal use.

User Content

If you submit content — league chat, forum posts, feedback, or roster names — you grant FredSave a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Services. You represent that you own or have rights to submit such content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate law. We may monitor, edit, or remove user content at our discretion but are not obligated to do so.

Premium Subscriptions and Payments

Premium features may require payment. Prices, billing cycles, and features are described on the premium page and at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to our published refund policy and applicable consumer protection law in your province or territory. We use third-party payment processors; your payment information is subject to their terms. FredSave reserves the right to change pricing with notice to existing subscribers as required by law.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. FREDSAVE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. FANTASY HOCKEY OUTCOMES DEPEND ON USER DECISIONS AND SIMULATED OR REAL-WORLD EVENTS; PAST PERFORMANCE OF PLAYERS OR STRATEGIES DOES NOT GUARANTEE FUTURE RESULTS. CONTENT IS NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE FOR GAMBLING, INVESTMENT, OR SPORTS BETTING.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FREDSAVE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100) OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FREDSAVE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FredSave from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, or your user content.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with notice where practicable. You may stop using the Services at any time and request account deletion via [email protected]. Provisions that by nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario for disputes not subject to mandatory arbitration. Where permitted, you and FredSave agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution before commencing formal proceedings.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date and, where required, additional notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to revised Terms, discontinue use and contact us to close your account.
